The Louisiana Bat Working Group

The Louisiana Bat Working Group is a collaboration of diverse professionals and bat enthusiasts. Our goals include debunking negative myths and perceptions about bats and providing knowledge to fill data gaps of Louisiana’s bat populations.

We hope to host our first in-person meeting in late fall of 2026, and grow into hosting education, mist-netting, and continuing education events.
